Sons and Daughters, lend me your ears,
I'll tell you a story that may bring you to tears.
Concerning a large electrical truck
And two young mens' close brush with Lady Luck.

Tension mounts, the mirror is checked, another blemish found.
With the anguish of comparison the mind is securely bound.
The fleshy prison holds on tight, no escape is here or there.
Form is fact, seeing's feeling, this reality is clear.

Words of the prophet
fill the void,
ignite the fire of thought,
erect the walls of conviction,
...

Shadows of the past,
Trails of undone deeds,
Mire of imperfections vast,
Knife of unmet needs.
