One twist of fate, and flames erupt
No parting kiss, nor sweet last touch

There's a beautiful sound that a wounded bird makes
When it screams its last breath as its slender neck breaks
And the sweet, salty tears of a puppy in pain
As its once-loving household turns slowly insane

Petals in the moonlight lay
Scattered on the ground
And all our hope was washed away
By the tears streaming around

a gaze i could not bear
he'd wait at every corner
he always stood right there
