To Hell Poem by Beatrice Preti

To Hell

Come here, my child! Let me send you to Hell!
Where the sins of your past will flourish and swell!
Oh, they’ll rise like the tide, and they’ll scream like a storm
Oh, child, when you enter, how the demons will swarm!
They’ll prey on your fear, and they’ll lust for your hate
They’ll be waiting right there, at Hell’s bloody gate!
But, child, don’t be scared! It’s not nearly as bad
As the sins that you’ve seen, the life that you’ve had
So don’t pay attention to the shadows around
We’ll be sinking much deeper when we’re miles underground
Where the demons will shriek and the shadows will bow
Oh, damn all the living, let’s go to Hell now!
