Anyone?

If I die, who will care?
If I just step off of this chair?
Rope hangs down, I'm at my end.
I no longer wish to pretend.
Thousands do this everyday,
And no one is begging me to stay.

Watching blood with empty eyes
Trickling down my hips and thighs
Slicing flesh, undeserving of life
Heartbeat quickening with every stroke of the knife
Perfect red beads begin to fall
One wrong move and I end it all

I muddle through life, trying hard.
But it's not just my arms that are scarred.
Cracking jokes so they won't ask,
And I can keep hiding behind this mask
It was all too much, in over my head
So many days I wished I were dead

'Of course I'm fine, ' said with a smile.
But my darkening thoughts had grown so vile
'Oh, I slipped. It's just a scratch'
But every lie is a lighted match:
Starting strong, nothing greater,
But burning out just seconds later.

Straggling behind, detached from the world
Love vs hate, my emotions were swirled
Leaving is simple —just say "goodbye."
They won't get it. They won't see why.
They'll bury me soon, cold to the core.
But I had died many months before.

It's my time now, I need to go.
Hours will pass and no one will know.
It isn't about them. Im doing this for me.
Here we go.. One, two, three
I have a secret I need to share,
But if I don't die, who will care?
