The heat wavers in the groggy aperture
I know it as my eyesight b-b-break.
The fire cools, like a phoenix dying- ashes to ashes
And then the bloody cross shall swing
And it shall swing true and scarlet- dripping
And the scarring shall stain its victims
The river runs strong as always it will
A bittersweet blush-
A victory for the baneful.

A hand snatches absent- blemished, skeletal.
A tainted memory comes from higher orders,
Bad decisions and a delusional wealth
Lead to an abyss they neither know nor feel.
It is not a fictitious tabloid print
Monotone and deadened words to read
Not me? Not i?
The smashing, back to black.

Divinity can neither stop nor teach man,
In a game of love and ***- no frontiers.
Steaming heads and wooden hearts
Puppets are innocent and ignorant
The others shall pay in more than wealth
And we shall owe it all back in wisdom.
Learn from old, used mistakes
Hierarchy and prejudice,
Poppies and black ribbons at the ready?
At ease.
