Flourishing In Colour

Sky blue, ocean blue, sapphire blue...
you're all shades of blue there is.
In your deserted eyes, I find myself
quenching my thirst for curiousity

The First Touch Of An Earthly Embrace

When you touched me, there were no surges of electricity, no bouts of tingling sensations; I could have easily mistaken it for my own embrace. We were undeniably one.

It would indeed be an understatement to call you a missing piece in my puzzle. From my reawakened perspective, you were the perplexing puzzle itself. The entire picture is all but incomplete. However, as we put the pieces together -- hands interlinked -- it becomes clearer who you are to me.

Mirror

Insecurities are caught better in front of the mirror.
Does the camera only capture sweet memories?
Flaws aren't bitter, they're sour.
Being labeled a self-pitying fool, is that why hate is a strong word?

Soaring Heights Of Platitude

Dreams may not come true lest you sacrifice your reality.
A quest you weren't ready for won't await you.

Love at first sight can be hidden in plainsight.

Feign Ignorance, Unravel Bliss

Standing in front of a cracked glass creaking as it breaks the fragile wall of fortitude. A sweet, distinct melody clears my unsound mind. I remain unknown to this forthcoming disaster. Is ignorance truly bliss? I could run away but my tedious efforts might as well be in vain. Or I could stay and bask in the glory of tranquil benightedness. My idea of a grand ending is not to fear but to feel everything all at once.

Heaven and hell are imagined lairs of the living. Where you depart after you are humbly diminished to dust is a place I would like to call -- 'bliss'. You prosper in a realm where you are reborn as your truest self. The wonders and tragedies of the monotonous world do not concern you any longer. You are granted a chance to relinquish the old and embrace the new. You are not alone; you are bound by a found family.

Unveiling Rose-Coloured Lens Of Misconceptions

Love is infinitely more than a fleeting emotion. It's a conscious choice that you partake. It's a persistent effort that you toil. It's an irrevocable faith that you believe in. It's an unassailable commitment that you hold on to.

It isn't always sparkling sunshine and blossoming flowers. It isn't always crimson blushes and fluttering butterflies. It isn't always tender hugs and ravishing kisses. It isn't always glamorous gestures and enchanting forevers.

Catastrophe. Excruciation. Resurgence.

The strings of fate had woven a tragedy. The parallel words collapse into collision. Harmony, an unwitnessed rarity, slips out of reach. Humanity, as always, falls prey to groundless hatred. The devil is in the details, they recite. Maybe, the angel will grace us with her presence, I whisper.

Dangling into motion like lifeless puppets on a string, we let our lives outlive us. I could laugh, I could cry. Nonetheless, the tears will leave my eyes as dry as trickling sand in the desert. It's not an overstatement to declare this a predictable disaster. With the way the world revolves and with the way people remain oblivious to the obvious, denial would be a futile resistance. Acceptance appears equivalent to giving up.

When Silence Turned To Twilight

When silence turned to twilight, the story of my life changed its predictably mundane narrative. The words looming over my dumbfounded head-'No longer day or night, neither happy nor sad.' The world as I knew it was set free all in one miniscule motion. The fate of my destiny is in the palm of my hands now.

Before this unimaginable transformation, I was so engrossed in my own affairs that my friendships buried themselves in graves filled with roses. The forbidden romances were demolished down to its delicate and intricate foundations with hollow promises, sweet betrayals and shattered hearts, unlike the magical happily-ever-afters in fictional fairytales.
