The great ball of hopes and Dreams
With its glossily mirror image
Slowly slips between my fingers
I try to grab it

I tried, but I can’t
I’d tell you but I don’t want to rant
You had your chance
It’s over, that dance
...

Your arms grasped around me
Your heat warming my body
Love from your heart
Seeping in my own
...

How can I be so smart with ways to convince myself it doesn’t hurt
Convincing everyone else I’m fine
But so dumb for doing it to my self
...

You said to me no matter what you would
No worries or doubts about you I had
I stupidly trusted you that you could
Thinking about it now just makes me sad
