Brandon Rhodes Poems

He hides in shade behind a mask
Heart was shattered broken like glass
Downs what's left of a half empty flask
Been carrying a burden for a while
...

We were Running around acting a fool
Breaking  hearts breaking all the rules
We were drinking, spitting cussing
getting tattoos
...

Those cool summer nights
 Not a cloud in sight
catching fire flies
Lost in /glisten in your eyes
...

She wants some one to listen to understand some one proud to take her hand and strong enough to be her man  some one to stand beside  not in front or behind someone who'll walk the line when man has a broken heart and his world is torn apart shes the one to fix it only one
...

Dancing along shore
leaving foot prints on sand
meet smiling eye to eye
twirling holding hand n hand
...

Two people meet two hearts Collide
Two people standing side by side
To be aboard this beautiful ride
Two people walk hand and hand
...

Out on the front porch
sun beating down like flaming  torch
Whistling wind ringing  the wind chyme
spring cleaning smell of lime
...

Wet cold windy day
Watching swing as it sways
Slow and sleepy day
All kids out to play
...

It's to good to be true
don't know what you do
never believed in love  till  i met you
is this real or make believe
...

I wanna lay with you  and
stare at the stars
I wanna go where ever you go
I wanna be where you are
...

Out on harbor sandy beaches of santa Barbra watching waves Rollin in thinking about life way im living and who I am where I'm suppose to be thinking bout you wonder if your thinking of  me

Sitting in shower trying wash away the pain wish sky would clear up along with the rain, yourealways on my mind driving me insane miss sound of your soft voice the way you say my name

The Best Poem Of Brandon Rhodes

Behind The Mask

He hides in shade behind a mask
Heart was shattered broken like glass
Downs what's left of a half empty flask
Been carrying a burden for a while
But you wouldn't tell by looks of his smile
From chaos struggles and strife
Confused with cross roads of life

Brandon, since you left me a lovely comment, I of course will start getting to know everyone slowly starting with you first. I found your poem to just be the perfect spring day. One we don't get much of here in New Orleans, we just get heat! So I live out my fantasies of the beauty of spring through writes like yours. Thank you for taking me to a place that I usually only get to dream of. Most enjoyed and the memory will stay with me. -Robin
