Bruce Horaz Poems

The images of yesterday cling to my mind.
Would the pain of yesterday ever go away?
I keep seeing images of a sunken ship
Steadily sinking into the sea.
...

The past is but a pile of ashes I am told
By those who are in the know.
But yet, I'm haunted by those fearful memories
Would everything I've done up to now be snatched away at the last,
...

The sun rose in all of its glory for all of us to see
But alas, the hustle and bustle of everyday life
Made us miss this wondrous show of beautiful light
Tomorrow may never come you see

Images Of Yesterday And Tomorrow

The images of yesterday cling to my mind.
Would the pain of yesterday ever go away?
I keep seeing images of a sunken ship
Steadily sinking into the sea.
There lying on the deck are men crying in pain.
Soon the sea swallows them up in the bay.
The first rays of the sun is starting to shine.
Could it be that this is the start
Of a different life for me to see.
I keep seeing it off in a diffused light --
Tomorrow is coming, I can feel it!
I'm a different, more confident person
Without the baggage of yesterday to carry.
I'm on the deck of my ship -- the flag is waving in the breeze
My love is beside me for all to see --
Is it destiny or is it a mirage?
