The Pendulum Was A Little More Kind

The Pendulum was a little more kind
Divvying-out time in amounts we can handle
It's behavior more akin to the hour-glass
Not a fair-weather friend like the sundial

Dissecting and deleting each second
Too eager to count, what is left of our life
