Ode To Michael The Living Poet

Michael, this saga of life you write about,
Serves to make me sing and shout.

' Listen, listen to those on the street,
Who recite and sing to the buskers beat.'

For the humble busker is the one who dares,
To perform their act on that thoroughfare.

Inviting smiles and eyecatching glances,
It's how their bank account advances.

So thanks to you who stopped a while,
And shared a joke, a laugh and smile.

We are going now to other places
To recite and sing and watch their faces.

Cheers to you dude - from another man,
Travellin the country in an old white van!

PS: And now for my comment on yer verse,
Good on yer Michael, for those wonderful words.

Cos now I'm stuck with yer rhymes in me head
Steve Irwin and old Lifesavers brought back from the dead!
