Cathlene Stahl Poems

So now little man...
You have grown tired of grass,
LCD, acid, cocaine, and hash,
And someone pretending to be your friend
...

I'm stupid in love, so stupid
Never gonna understand how you did it
You made me fall so hard and fast
Hoping, praying that love will last
...

'Till Death Do Us Part

So now little man...
You have grown tired of grass,
LCD, acid, cocaine, and hash,
And someone pretending to be your friend
Said, 'I'll introduce you to Miss Heroin.
Well, honey, before you start fooling with me,
Just let me inform you of how it will be.
For I will seduce you and make you my slave.
I have sent men much stronger then you to their grave.
You think you could never become a disgrace
An end up addicted to poppyseed waste.
So you will start inhaling me one afternoon
You'll take me in your arms very soon.
And once I have entered deep down in your veins,
The craving will nearly drive you insane.
You will need lots of money, and as you've been told,
For, darling, I am much more expensive than gold.
You'll swindle your mother, and just for a buck,
You'll turn into something vile and corrupt.
You'll mug and you'll steal for my narcotic charm
And feel contentment when I'm in your arms.
The day when you realize the monster you've grown,
You will solemnly promise to leave me alone.
If you think you have got the mystical knack,
Then sweetie, just try getting me off your back.
The vomit, the cramps, your gut tied in a knot,
The jangling nerves screaming for just one more shot.
The hot chills, the cold sweat, the withdrawal pains,
Can only be saved by my little white grains.
There is no other way and there's no need to look,
For deep down inside you will know you are hooked.
You will desperately run to the pusher and then
You will welcome me back in your arms once again.
And when you return, just as I foretold,
I know you will give me your body and soul.
You will give up your morals, your conscience, your heart,
And you will be mine......until death do us part.

Catherine Stahl you are taking credit for a poem you did not write. I have had this poem in my collection of poetry since 1972. It was singned, 'ANONYMOUS AUTHOR'. Obviously, whomever wrote this, lived it! Stop taking credit away from the original author of, 'TIL DEATH DUE US PART

This did not write the " in my arms" poem. If she is indeed 17 years of age I read this poem at least 40 years before she was born. Also, I don't believe she knows aught of the reality and the horrors of heroin addiction.

'Till Death do us Part was NOT written by Cathlene Stahl. I found the poem on a table in the lobby of Los Angeles County Jail about 40 years ago while visiting the son of a friend. I asked one of the guards where it came from and he explained that one of the inmates had written it. I published it in my publication in about 1980 as Author Unknown.
