My Fathers Love

How can I understand this love,
this love You hold for me.
That You could let Your Son die,
oh, how painful that would be.
When I feel a lot of love inside,
I feel a gripping hold.
Where do You contain such love,
mutliplied a millionfold?
I never cease to stand in awe
of this love I can't understand,
But I am ever grateful
that You sent Your Son to man.
Someday I hope to see You,
So I can then express,
the love I've come to feel for You
at Your unselfishness.
