different but the same coloured buttons in a jar
woven from a needle in tiny lines of silk
from a seamstress and a tailor sewing buttercups and milk

We wait and wait for the right person to shine
to light up our lives when the two can entwine
curling together in arms that enrich
those feelings we missed when the darkness was pitch

I sat upon a lonely bench letting the night pass by
listening to the murmuring moans behind each shuttered eye
people anonymous with their thoughts invisible out of reach
on conveyor belts of motion a void of sight and speech
...

Somewhere over the rainbow
further than the eye can see
are people just like all of us
staring back at you and me
...

Aspirations are dreams which are still in the making
nothing unreal not massaged or faking
truth to be told in the years that fly by
a vision in the mist holding in your minds eye
