Cheyenne Harbison Poems

Life for me was once a broken heart,
As if my life was falling apart.
I had scars that wouldn't go away
All that pain made me want to stray.
...

From 7th ‘til now, roses told out story;
I wonder how it will come to end; in pain or glory?

...

13 roses scattered round;
Orange, blue and even red: simply laying on the ground.
The promise of love lies entwined in the meaning of a rose.

Broken Past

Life for me was once a broken heart,
As if my life was falling apart.
I had scars that wouldn't go away
All that pain made me want to stray.

At night I cried
And little by little, I broke my own pride.
Pieces of my life fell out of the puzzle
And fell into a pit of lava to sizzle.

All I could see was the black rocks and molten red,
I tried to pick up the pieces but I only bled.
I left them in the fire and walked away from the knife,
I said "I can do better in another life."
