A hint of sweetness lingering wafts upon the breeze
Dewdrops gleam like diamonds on the tips of sunlit leaves
Petals reach out for the sun behold God's majesty
...
I feel it in your eyes. The finality of fate.
You fill me with your smile. The joys of life.
Now I know your forgiving grace. I hear the masters' call.
Will I follow? Will I go? When everything is you.
...
And the moonlight carries the echoes
the face outshines the stars
from the faintest sight of heaven
to the red light shine of mars
...
The light that shines to brighten
the darkest night of all
glinting silver bullets
all around me fall
...
(man)
All so quick I never knew
That she would call me out
Never see, unguided you
...
I sit alone forgotten place
just what I see, I can't erase
memories back where I belong
take me back when I was strong
...
The tattered page turns...
blank as the silence before the coming storm
The pen is raised and another chapter unfolds..
Look now upon a scene so real
...
One gentle caress, the lover's touch
the quiver of a single string rings in the heart
So let it be
They dance upon pavement of light and darkness
...
The breeze whispers softly from the windows
whispers of things that can be
Desperately clinging, words left unsaid
two souls for one eye that can see
...
Wildflowers
A hint of sweetness lingering wafts upon the breeze
Dewdrops gleam like diamonds on the tips of sunlit leaves
Petals reach out for the sun behold God's majesty
As shafts of golden light reveal a rainbow tapestry
Pink and yellow, purple, red, violet and blue
The colors of the flowers shine a glorious vibrant hue
The buzzing of the busy bees alight upon their face
Kissing all the wildflowers with a honey-sweet embrace
But suddenly this calmness breaks, the crunch of toes and heel
As a flower of a different kind walks slowly through the field
Nimble fingers weave the green, a crown to be adorned
The colors of the forest glade can now at last be worn
Laughing, dancing merrily she tries to catch the light As wonder fills her gorgeous soul she marvels at the sight
For the beauty of creation, of wildflowers sweet and fair
Can now be found inside blue eyes under strands of golden hair
