Abandoned

Abandoned
You were never my Daddy,
You were always
just my
biological father.
YOU never cared
after I was born
Mom took sissy and I,
and left you,
but
you never came back.
You never tried to get us back.
You broke my heart
When I was
eight.
I was a mere child
you promised
that you would come to
the father-daughter dance.
I waited for two straight hours,
but you never came.
You didn’t even call to say
you couldn’t make it.
That was your last chance
to make it right.
You broke my heart one too many times.
Even if you tried,
it would be too late
to make it right.
Because now I have a Daddy
and I love him so much
But now you have a new baby daughter
who looks exactly like me,
when I was her age.
When I first found out about her,
I was devastated.
I cried and cried,
my eyes out.

YOu abandoned me.
Now You have her and
I felt replaced,
like I was worthless
to you,
Because you did
replace me
with the baby.
But guess who was there for
me when you weren't
my Daddy was.
He let me cry on his shoulder
for hours on end.
I hated you
at that time.
You can never earn
my trust.
You caused me so much pain.
I can’t trust anyone because of you.
I’m afraid
everyone is going to leave and
never come back,
because you left so many times.
You abandoned me
and now you are
nothing to me
