Craig H. Stewart Poems

Unexpected festive mess we sing into the night,
I hear a happy siren song entwine around my own,
Smiling laughter, perfume lingers, warm around my neck,
I turn and see her, heartbeat drumming loudly in my chest,
...

My heart is adrift, from black-less depths I gape and gulp another stone into my guts, bubbled burp from Davy Jones adrift and muffled softly popping foam, atop the cresting buttresses I gaze into the dark...

in sensed with extra vascular implosion, a sense of outside turning in from azure to crimson, flimsy tendrils fall from high above and join into the dance, i can't remember time or space or place, i have you, still...
...

The best things in life are unexpected,
Like a red tailed arrow, loosed in the dark,
Flying straight and true to hit the bulls-eye,
The mark,
...

As I lay down, resting head on perfumed earth,
caring fingers caress my ears and kiss my neck,
whispering a thousand words.
As blade of grass dances to wind's serenade,
...

An inward breath, sharp, but not distressed,
As flesh is kissed and stroked, caressed,
My finger tips press like dewdrops rest,
On gossamer strands of spiders web.
...

a flame in the night, beacon.
warmth and hope, beckon,
to be with friends and banish the night,
pull a loved one close and tight,
...

Connection, a fusion of will,
Symbiotic, pure, still...
Doubt, a gnawing troll,
...

The fires have burned low to shimmering embers,
Scattered across the floor like a million dying suns
they sputter their last into the cold, smoking sand.
...

eloquent rapture charged through synapse trees
purest sunlight strikes and peals,
amongst the echoes now i feel
awakened.

Again, I find a wanderer,
Back turned against the shore,
I wonder if she knows the face,
I wore some time before? ,
...

The ebb and flow of pustules, pulsing,
Dancing Terrors, in the deep,
Embrace the wisdom of your mothers, or
They will drag you from your sleep,
...

Will we ever see, a day without war?
When four and twenty men rush forth,
With thoughts of home they steel their hearts,
Up and over crumbling sandbags,
...

Endless questions nestled resting,
Cucooned, Complex, Crystaline,
Effervescent sparkling wonder,
Bringing truth into the light,
...

14.

A light in times of cuspid shadow,
Dancing fire to fight the grey,
Smiles and thankful laughter lifts me,
Free from where I dwell each day,

The Best Poem Of Craig H. Stewart

Friends.

Unexpected festive mess we sing into the night,
I hear a happy siren song entwine around my own,
Smiling laughter, perfume lingers, warm around my neck,
I turn and see her, heartbeat drumming loudly in my chest,

Distant echoes drinking up the vibrant neon songs,
Gin soaked grin reminds me of the times when I was young,
Joyful souls adrift and singing high atop the world,
Our voices happy, harmonies like nothing ever heard,

Forging forth and out into the Wintry snow filled night,
Drunken tongue attempts to taste the essence of the sky,
Frosted glitter, spirits dancing, boisterous and unbound,
We huddle now, like newborn lambs, unseasoned to the ground,

And now, the twinkling tender glow of fireside calls us home,
Steaming tea and toasted feet, our memories unbound,
Distant wisdom, Childish laughter, longing to be free,
Realising, Finally, I'm where I need to be.
