with a bayonet like tongue;
sweet speech a poisonous dart

A constant companion
over the years of my school days
a friend who cared a lot
for me and for my cousins

the vain glories
of pleasure worldly
later becomes the sole worry
a sickly home renders nightmare.

When the will is broken
Of what avail of fighting
That life seems a castaway boat
Some may feel so.

Oh Lord
when will the world cry for poors
that inherits the ‘rich poverty’;
will the day come when

one day
during the evening’s calm
my mind gained the maximum composure
amidst the rays golden

poisonous indeed
the luxury that taint the poverty;
Many poor souls
sacrifice their spirit

When a child is born unto you
remember my dear ones
it’s a gift chosen by the omnipresent love
for you to nurture and culture
