Rose

As I look at the rose I wonder why is this red
Why not yellow or pink like a tulip why?
Why does the rose stand for love I wonder why?
As I pick one pedal off at a time until there's no more
I watch them fly through the air from the breeze
As I poke myself with a thorn
3 drops of blood falls on the ground
I think if there's thorns why does it stand for love not pain
I wonder why?
