I hurt so much
And missed your touch.

Of love, it seems, redeemed.

Your kindness I adored.

I’m a little scared,
Or do I need to care?
Keep avoiding the work
My feelings do lurk.

I am a fox running away
From the spark of thunder
And the forest
Saying help me…

We used to talk about so much.
I miss the way my heart you touched.
Do you miss me too?
Like I miss you?

I climb a boat, near the shore.
Not knowing where to go.
My heart does sink down, low, below.
To tug a boat, it does not tow.

I thought I knew you.
Then out of the blue…
You had to write the letter.
Slap me in the face, will that make you feel better?

Bad memories…do they erase the good?
We laughed, we teased, we cried, we loved.
How many memories we created, unlike any,
All of the above.

I miss you still, till I’m done healing.
Don’t know what I’ll be feeling.
A release…free from this dark gloom.
That consumes this room.
