There are days when my intuition

Every door we open
broadens our view of life.
We learn a little more
trouble and strife.

We all live under a canopy
of hope, hate, love and lies.
The canopy gets bigger
every day within our lives.

It’s February and romance is in the air.
Shops are filled with things to give your lady fair.
Heart shaped items to express I love you
for both men and women to confess their love is true.

A posy of pink roses
stand on the alter of my church.
The roses maybe artificial,
but it is what they represent.

My inspiration has thrown me in a spin
instead of writing one poem a day
I have now been writing six or seven.
After a few weeks of that

The moonlight danced across the waters
where the breeze made ripples there.
Nothing stirred the stillness
except the lonely hoot of an owl.

If you look on the top of houses,
you will find a TV Ariel there,
a place for little birdies to sit
and have their tea break.

We maybe strangers when we meet,
but as friends, we depart
and so the world goes round
with you never knowing
