Ode To A Broken Heart

Stop, just please stop
everytime I let my guard go
everytime I put my walls down
you take my heart just so
and my head spins around; bliss
suddenly with no warning you drop it
vanished were the hopes of the perfect kiss
down it goes in a dark pit
shatters; shattering; a million pieces
but I don't blame you
yet you oppress my heart, its true
so easily you move on
carefully stepping over the broken pieces
so as not to prick yourself
but I fall on the shattered glass
broken; bleeding; pricked
you don't even look back
moving swiftly to your next victim
I desperately try to grasp the remains
wondering if i'll ever love again
engulfed in this sea of endless pain
in vain I struggle to forget
wishing it was you that I never met
reluctant to give my heart out now
damaged..
