Thoughts

Every cloud has a silver lining
Every trouble has an end
When your world seems torn to pieces
Remember time will always mend.
The sun will not hide forever
from your life in this domain
Dark clouds disperse and so reveal
what you thought lost was but another gain.
To understand and love your treasures
You must travel through life's darkest night
To appreciate the truth of beauty
You must gaze upon the ugly sight.
Without the contrast, how can you know
the value of life's measures ?
Without some sadness in your life
you cannot appreciate the pleasures.
