They slogged more than their frames could quite afford;
But lost their cool when aged and fear seized them;
With life thus spent, their future looked so bored;
Their will-pow’r gone, Life’s torn-cloth, they couldn’t hem!

When worldly people cause upsets in life,
And times keep changing for the worse for you-
The principled-good suffer in strife:
You have to still your duty rightly do!

The horrors of my yester-years are fresh;
The frescoes flash upon my Sylvian screen;
It was not easy breaking up the mesh;
What trials, tribulations through, I’ve been!

Nothing on earth can happen on its own;
All things require sanction that’s divine;
No one since birth is really alone;
Heaven decides inebriety of wine!

There’s hope anew for the PLHA!
Hope that was never, ever before;
Hope that has withstood the times;
Hope that has braved the climes.

A model-home has vanished in a trice!
Its members were united for long years;
The family had been kept free of vice;
The children studied without any fears.

My clinic is a ‘church’ in which I pray;
Not many patients flock in anyway;
Some rosaries I manage to well say;
This keeps both devils and my foes away.

A mother’s tender loving care of child
A father’s strictness, wise advice and toil
A sister’s help in family chores
A brother’s service outdoor and stores
...

Despite their poverty, problems many,
We see the people poor with laughs and smiles –
A wonder which can’t be explained at all,
Except that they are blessed by grace of God!

When a boy, I saw a beggar,
Gave him some coins;
I found him smoking one day,
And got angry!
