Our feet more firmly on the ground
We're disinclined to be swept off them

Kind, Loving, Generous Male
Must be Open-Minded
The type of person who values personality over looks

He's got on my same favorite t-shirt

He thinks it's cooler than I do
Probably in his 'good' t-shirt pile
...

And as I watched
it shed a solitary tear of pure blood
and I knew
I was seeing it's very soul
...

Her eyes were pale green and introspective
as was her face

She watched the door casually
...

The sirens sing to each other in the street
from asphalt to ambush
they echo the cry of the fallen soldier
...

I am just a soul
standing among other souls

Trapped in the baggage of birth
...

The sweet glow of sweat on a warm full breast

A thin cotton dress hugs so perfectly her nimble form
...

'You just don't love me enough! ' she says (for years now it seems)

and walks away
