I am the lone soldier of the revolution

I read to stay sharp
I write to stay sharp

I wait for signs
For youth to ignite

But I see them sedated
Tranquilized by technology

Revolt! Rebel! Come On!
Let's do this!
Let's tear it all down!
Come On!

But my cries go unanswered
They barely look up from their screens
What is it in the box they find so fascinating?

Truth! ?

I think not

I'm slowly dying a lonely soldier

Like a schoolboy
I wait for my friends to come out and play
