Whisper Of Love

For Steve and Deborah

In the silence of the evening,
a whisper came to me.

A very happy bride-to-be
is united with her youth.

For her long awaited bridegroom
has come to calm his own.

The years ahead are looming
and the joys will yet be earned.

But the roses that entwine your path
will shield from horrid thorns.

Always look to sunshine
and know that rain must fall.

All the while hold in your heart
that love still conquers all.
