They're concerned with who they are, but everybody here is nobody.
How they look is so important, even when they are all blind.
And in groups they still are searching, although there is nothing to find.

I guess I wasn't good enough,
Not who you always wanted.
And as you sleep tonight,
I''ll lie awake haunted.

Your flaming desire was put out
By the new sea of another.
And now I sit alone.
I'm just a lost lover.

Maybe you were all lies.
Maybe you told the truth.
But it doesn't matter now.
There's nothing I could do.

At first I was in denial,
Then there was nothing I could say.
And that wave of flaming desire?
It eventually washed away...
