Flowing from high Claramore in view of Clara Hill
In memory i hear it the silver tongued rill
On towards the river babbling on it's way
It is never silent by night or by day
...

In this beautiful and sunny Land of the far south
No shortage of material for to write rhymes about
Though low the water dams and bone dry every drain
This evening we did have a few showers of rain
...

For it's scenice beauty in a class of it's own
The City of Warrnambool is widely known
For it's hospitable people and it's many a smiling face
That helps to make Warrnambool such a welcoming place
...

People have a choice in their own destiny
Most people with this i know do agree
But i look at this in a different way
I happen to believe that destiny decides everyon'e future despite what many does say
...

Life can have it's worries and it's times of stress
But it is the greatest gift that anyone possess
So live for as long as you possibly can
This goes for every woman and for every man
...

I never refer to myself as a poet
Nor am i one worthy of any literary note
This is something i have said quite often before
I write for enjoyment and little else more
...

That it seems beneath the dignity of the literary critics to criticize one like me my rhymes have to be rough
And this has me to feeling that as a rhymer i am not good enough
And since lack of recognition is not healthy for one's self esteem
I must try my best to improve as a rhymer it does seem
...

Most politicians as is known are lacking in ruth
And cannot be relied on for telling the truth
Unless their political agenda a truthful answer does suit
At most times with their words they are deceptively cute
...

He said to me your accent is strong and your hair silver gray
And do you miss your old Homeland from here far away
And he added out of Australia for a long period of time i could not stay
I said to him i do go home every day
...

You may be one of the nice people of the town
Always willing to help others never out for your own renown
You help those in need ofhelping every day
Yet not everyone of you has nice things to say
