Perhaps she said you should give penning of verse away
You've not known success and you've had your better day
You've written heaps more than enough of stuff
Perhaps 'tis time you've thought I've done enough

I marvel at the beauty all around me
The beauty in Nature every day I see
The euroyp bush in her daisies of gold
A thing of great beauty for one to behold
...

The one seen as special and looked on as great
That the masses feel happy to celebrate
Is not everyone's favourite you will hear one say
That one not the best not to me anyway
...

Are hell, heaven and purgatory ficticious places based on a lie
And are humans mortal life forms just born to live and die
I've pondered on these questions and my puzzlement at them grow
since I do not have the answers of such would I know?

They must be close to nocturnal seldom seen out by day
Behind their high secure walls from the World they hide away
Two new mercedes in their double garage one for him and one for the wife
Money may not buy you everything but it can improve your life
...

What is it you aspire to the young bloke said to me
We all have our aspirations I could not disagree
Though him I could not answer since of late I've lost the desire
To wish for something better and to greater things to aspire

Compared to the worries of some mine do seem quite small
That is if one can call them worries at all
Though ageing I'm healthy without any pain
I am one without reason for to complain

He is not a man I could wish to admire
But George W Bush and his wife Laura to their ranch can retire
And draw their big pensions and live the good life
As another ex President and his ex first Lady wife.

Her shoulder length hair is the colour of washed shining gold
The Rose of MaCarthur lovely to behold
And brown as the ripe chestnut are her eyes of brown
The no 1 beauty of her country Town

I'm one of those who in karma do believe
And in karma what we sow we always receive
What goes around comes around rings ever true
