The brighter side of life she does embrace
She always does have a big smile on her face
Her husband and their only child in a motor car accident died
By misfortune of a long life they were denied
...

It does not matter how wealthy and famous you are
Or of the size of your home or of the size of your car
On some future night or on some future day
The Reaper of lives will come reaping your way
...

If You Are a working class person they are not for you
Right wing politicians are for the well to do
The upper middle class and the wealthy and the very wealthy few
And this is not saying anything that is new
...

The sun slowly setting in the gray Winter sky
And gray kangaroos grazing in the paddock nearby
To the woodland where they do spend most of the day
Most of them wary of humans fear on their survival some part does play
...

Though a rhymer is not one of this literary time
So much to write of in Nature even in rhyme
And rhymes of Nature rhymers do write every day
Just for the love of it without hope of fame or pay
...

There are often tears in his eyes for the City of Shrone
And the twin Pap Mountains of gorse, bracken, heather and stone
Often in the pub he sings an Irish song
The love of the homeland in him remains strong
...

I used to wonder what true love is about
But now what it entails i do not have any doubt
Since true love is unconditional i have come to realize
We learn as we age and can become more wise
...

One can only pay nature the credit she is due
That she is a great teacher happens to be true
Of her we do learn something new every day
In life we never stop learning in truth one can say
...

Human feelings can be like a river that in drought times is low
That after heavy rain in stature does grow
And on towards the great ocean bank high does flow
To truly appreciate happiness sadness you must know
...

Despite what many have to say
Discretion always seems to pay
The one who from the fight does run away
Will live to live another day
