We never stop learning of her in truth one can say
Wherever we turn to look her beauty we see

Far north in the fields where the Cails waters flow
To join with Finnow and the Blackwater meet
By the bridge at Drishane near the Town of Millstreet

Those without compassion and empathy are of clouded mind
And their sort it does seem not an endangered kind
For the suffering of others they feel no sympathy
They are lacking in any sense of emapathy
...

Saltwater and white waves as far as the eyes can see
From the cliffs of Thunder Point overlooking the Pacific sea
A scene that has not changed over centuries of time
That has inspired the artists and the writers of stories and rhyme
...

She was a rare beauty when young and carefree
The finest in her time in old Knocknagree
When i was a boy she was in her life's prime
And this is going back many decades in time
...

I have been told by some my rhymes are not good enough
For the twenty first century a bit slip shod and rough
Perhaps their way of saying i should give rhyming away
Though to their advice any heed i never does pay
...

A World without love would be a sad World indeed
Love is something that humanity of more of is in need
Since without love there would be mistrust and wars Worldwide
And any hope of peace by hatred would be destroyed
...

They expect me to hang on to every word to me they do say
The opinionated people i meet with every day
And if with their opinions i choose to disagree
They dismiss me as misinformed and as ignorant as can be
...

For every songbird there is a final Spring
A last chance to breed and a last song to sing
Us humans too will have our last night and day
And life will go on and time will tick away
