The sound of Grecian music where the Greek diners eat
From the Athenian restaurant it floats across the street
And a beautiful Greek songstress with the music sings along
One could listen to the music and the singer all night long.

And it's chilly in the highlands though not cold enough to freeze
And a high today the forecast read of 17 degrees
And the currawongs are piping on the eucalyptus trees.

We are of different cultures and come from a different Land
Devoted to your unseen God in his Kingdom in the sky
One of your favourite words is infidel and that to my likes does apply

My pleasant flights of fancy to me a thing of joy
I hear the skylark singing o'er the fields of Lisnaboy
And in the newly mown meadows the pleasant scent of hay
The places of my younger years I visit every day

Self conceit and self love are a different thing
The self conceited expect others their praises to sing
But those who love themselves love other people too
Herein lay the big difference between the two

Have you known the weight of depression and you often feel alone
And to smile to you seems harder than drawing blood out of a stone
And you feel you've reached the very point at the brink of despair
And your so called friends don't wish to know you and nobody seems to care?
