A withered face
Pale and unforgiving
Laden with eternal darkness
Inside no shred of virtue living

Why do we favour their wandering eye?
Degrading our conscience.
Astride the nigh we follow along
Abetting and aiding

The brooding cult inside thy mind
Is seldom bound or chained
I crave the answers sought and find
A demon's temper pained

If i was a scholar
I'd holler it from the rooftops
I'd not make a dollar
But follow philosophers footsteps

My mind is canvas for the paints of wonder
A wharf that harbours knowledge most profound
It quells all thoughts cavorting lady thunder
Yet trembles under fear of crashing sound

Death Comes Knocking

A withered face
Pale and unforgiving
Laden with eternal darkness
Inside no shred of virtue living
Looks upon my fallen frame
Inhaling the weakness of a fading will
Hope flickers deep within me
But i know his quota death must fill
For the devils work is wretched work
And my strangled Pneuma is for the taking
In the blink of an unfocused eye
The connection between body and mind is breaking
Till an unrecognisable power arises
Not ready to pay death's toll
Pure and forgiving
My beautiful soul
