Brings to the fore, the inference
Of what is in store.

Where is the love we yearn to experience?
Where is the long forgotten acquaintance?
Where is the promise to love and embrace?
Where is the challenge we are called to face?

The gathering darkness begins to enfold
All in its path, rock, squirrel and sparrow.
Casting a pale, over all its sees,
Causing a tension, a sense of unease.
