Could I begin with a thought or a feeling perhaps,
And would you understand?

We choose alternate paths in life
when things go wrong.
Trying to find a solution
but finding none...

Last night I had an early night
In bed by nine
All was ok
My world was fine

Am I a shadow,
An image of something real?
A shadow
that only survives a few hours a day,

You appear at night as a ghost in my mind
and vanish like a shadow in the sunlight.
To catch you is impossible -
to tell you is too hard.

where do i go from here
left or right
and do i do it willingly
or do i put up a fight
...

Couples fight and argue
Hurt one another
Make each other cry
I feel lucky
...

You’ve had the safety of my heart for far too long
The time has come where we go it on our own
