Greg Schmid Poems

Life is a brief haunting memory
It's ebb and flow are
At times soft and undulant
Other times rushing and spilling
...

Can lightning hang,
Weather worn,
Tattered and weary,
Dribbling down,
...

Dripping, dribbling, dropping
Falling down and striking me
Streams of liquid touch my face
Pooling, running across my hair, over my ears
...

Life's Memory

Life is a brief haunting memory
It's ebb and flow are
At times soft and undulant
Other times rushing and spilling
By the way it flows
We judge our condition of life
But underneath still waters lie
and our deep thoughts, hurts
dreams and cares remain
Seemingly untouchable
Buried deep in our caverns
of thought and reason.
