Forget

You will forget me
as though I where a dirty, broken sign
left to rot on the side of the highway;

But I will not forget
how your laugh
rang throughout the universe
and stars shook
and wished to laugh along.

How your eyes seemed to be so full
with stars that rebelled to be with you.

When darkness comes to consume me,
I will think of those eyes
and I will ache once more.
