The malls were insane
The reindeer exhausted
Till one candy cane

When you've given till scraped knuckles
Signal the pail is still empty
Despite numerous patch attempts of
Honoring tradition just

Even though two people once
Were very much in love
Even though each moment spent
Could never rise above

The light has come to rescue me
