This moment alone,
The thought still new and fresh,
Fulfilling, I must say,
To get frozen in just this moment’s hush,
...
The tentacles tightly my heart ensnare,
Choices I made, back to haunt,
Choking, gasping, wanting some air
The bad dream back to taunt,
...
Stuck In My Heart
This moment alone,
The thought still new and fresh,
Fulfilling, I must say,
To get frozen in just this moment’s hush,
The laughter I hold back,
All the things still stuck in my heart,
That were yours to take,
The unborn marvelous things I have,
I am tempted to think I’m a jerk,
To have let go when no one else would,
This ‘dating’ thing I suck,
But I still think I had much more to bid,
The thought that today has come,
Am neither freaked nor feel lost,
Staring into this emptiness I am,
That I have lived for this long,
Am a little surprised,
That I don’t miss your absence,
Infatuated and carried.
Was all this just by chance?
The good we shared,
Perfect thing it was,
So clear not marred,
Is what my heart still sees.
