When I Get There

Baby steps will take you to your destination;
people hope we're a good, smart generation;
lets prove them right, our minds need to be heard;
people need to be cured;
why don't we stand tall together,
and hope our changes; our ideas last forever?
Now I'm sixteen with a 'golden' heart;
been like this since the start;
but my life has broken apart;
still healing after all these years;
still crying but with new tears;
I'm as strong as it gets;
dumping all my regrets;
I'm standing tall and taking baby steps to the top;
hearing the devil yell 'stop, just drop! '
Ignoring him this time around;
standing up from the ground;
for once in my life, I want to be found...
