for sometime when the heat

this glowing moon
i see on this special night
of kartika when chillness
slowly begins to spread

we are not what we think we are
we are not what others think we are

born of nothingness
unto nothingness
do we return
...

kings fade
kingdoms too fade
vain glory is
what's left
...

through satiated
darkness spread in the room
a single audible breath
rose and reverberated
...

do i need eyes if they can't
shed one meaningful tear?
do i need lips if they can't
stretch in one spontaneous smile?
...

on this day of near total eclipse
i confine myself to indoors and brood
the scientific explanation vis-a-vis
my grandma's account of serpents
...

My pain dissolves into poetry
Each poem I write becoming
A part of my growing lexicon
Of growth, evolution and transformation
...

I bought
A wonderful pair of shoes
Upon wearing,
Found a pebble
