First Love

Looking at the mirror.
Reflecting myself.
Peering into my soul,
or whats left.

I dont know what I see.
I cant recognize me.
Who did I used to be?

I died that day.
The day you took my heart away.
With what you did you made me say,
that I wish you didnt stay.

You were the rude awakening,
that had my head shaking,
and my heart breaking.

Overwhelming regret consumes me.
Sitting here thinking 'How could he? '
He should have let me be.

Your love was a lie,
which made me want to die.
My heart now locked inside,
the special key thrown aside.

I died that day,
The day you took my heart away.
Holding hands with this burden every day,
in the end destroyed me in every way.

Looks can be decieving,
just like me believing,
we could be exceeding,
with our shared feeling,
now we're both bleeding.

When I fell for you,
I thought we were true,
but you were the fool,
that turned love so selfish and cruel.

Letting go of what used to be,
is reall hard for me,
but its time for me to see,
just who I can be.
