Ask me anything, I’ve got nothing to say
And I’d like to confront you, if that’s okay
We could shine and live outside
And no one would ever mind

The shopping bags are all left in the street to melt and rot away
And there’s a man sitting on the corner with a harmonica, he’s waiting for a dollar to pay the rent
A lady in a fur coat passes by but gives no notice to the man on the corner with a harmonica
She doesn’t have time for people like him
...

It’s like a thunderclap, out beyond the breeze
We’re the kind of people who always see what no one sees
And a raindrop, really, it’s falling faster, faster, more
It comes in like a tidal wave, and sweeps you out the door
...

And those three magic words were spoken
All the lover’s spells were broken
His book of words lay in ruins by the fireside
He went to fix them, he tried and tried
