I'M Still Here

I'm only human,
I make mistakes.
So stop judging me, when?
Cause my whole body aches.

I suffered through it all,
I told you I loved you.
But you pushed me to fall,
Couldn't we be through?

I'm sick of your lies,
Of all the false promises.
I look up to the sky,
And wonder how far it is.

You thoroughly destroyed me,
You crushed my soul.
I want to be set free,
I need again to be whole.

You covered me with bruises,
But told me to stay.
My whole body oozes,
How did you lose your way?

You acted the good guy,
Why didn't they believe?
They told me to just try,
But they were so naive.

But I fell for you hard,
I believed every word,
And because of it I'm scarred.
My senses are blurred.

Not a day goes by when you're not on my mind.
I tried so hard, where did I go wrong?
You're with her now, I hope you are kind.
But as for me now I need to be strong.

I look up to God and give a great sigh,
I am still standing! I'm still here!
And although my eyes are not yet dry,
I'm eternally grateful, I no longer need to fear.
