Jessica Gilbert Poems

I feel like a piece of trash
Something that has been passed around
I want to jump off a building
And crash into the ground
...

I remember when our love was true,
but now you've found someone new.

I remember when we first met...

Jessica Gilbert Biography

I am 25 years old. I am from California, but have lived in Texas, Michigan, and Mississippi. I am learning how to speak, read, and write Japanese. My hobbies are photography and music. These two poems are the only poems I have ever written. I was a pretty sad teenager, with uninvolved parents. and a broken heart. This inspired me to write these poems. They were written in 1998 in a small town of Mansfield, Texas while sitting in my 9th grade biology class bored of out my mind.)

Depression Takes Over

I feel like a piece of trash
Something that has been passed around
I want to jump off a building
And crash into the ground

My heart is so broken
I don't know what to do
Please don't forget
I will always love you

I can't go on
Living this life
I have no choice
But to pick up the knife

I know this will cause
Some people pain
But I feel so empty
I think I'm insane

I love you so much
And that's no lie
But I give up
And I want to die

You deserve so much better
You deserve so much more
I pick up the gun
And fall to the floor

I guess this is where
Everything has to end
You were a great guy
And a wonderful friend

1998
