Seeker
Seeker
The storm outside had just tempered its rage
And the hearth within promised to assuage,
Sweeping its glowering heat aside.
Nursing my purple knots,
I stuttered to seek the account
Of my ebbing and the cresting boat.
Family assuring and mates around
But the hollow eyes on my face
Abound,
Because I seek you
Now a new sunrise clears away the haze-
As I meander through the dappled maze,
of the green baldachin swaying above me.
The burgeoning cups pour out the richness,
Thick and sweet,
Sure I'm enticed but not fulfilled, and I seek!
Seeking, my long strides fall
on the new grassy cobbled stone
And I arrive at the bejeweled gateway.
The mirth welcomes me, within, it's electric.
New horizons and newer culminations!
Treading the lime sequined caverns
I perch on the seat,
to pluck the full roundels
And drink in from its wedges.
And hey! The laden branches caress
and say,
"Is your appetite satiated and at bay? "
Nay! I echo, she eludes me and evades me
And renders me groping for more
In seas bluer or less azure.
I am a seeker, arriving does not allure-
Golden spheres for me emerge
with every new naut, just beyond for sure!
