Inside Your Mind

You follow in credulity,
You say it has to be.
Illogically perceived realities,
That is what I see.
I try to explain my side,
You use your faith to hide.
And though I often try,
You shove my words aside.
Why is faith your default?
Why is reason brought to a halt?
Where would you be now,
With rationale avowed?
You live inside your mind,
Playing with gods you hope to find.
But when you come outside,
I’ll expect you to confide.
The truths you could not hide,
Were really well-made lies.
