These unmanned reins
And lash with leather waves
The beast at the end of your leash

Is it just because?
It never will be

Like tired statues on the wall
Who wait for nothing but to fall
I gather for the Earth to call
Among many things

The well is dry, so am I
Left without the sun's last shine
Gone beneath and left forever
Broken stone is all I level
...

In between, among the stream
The air is tight, the water clean
Of all infection, moss, and mean
...

You can't feel down when there is no up
In this special place of mine
Where planet Earth loosens her tie
And we leave our world behind
...

Standing by this window, still
Wondering, waiting,
Hope is such a fickle thing
She bends her head with arms to hold
...

Yellow streaks of lily pads
Float upside down in the lake bed
Rarely spoken a
Word without token to
...

Fine tuned to the sound of the ocean
Draped in foreign wears
Thrown into the wind with great caution
Beneath sky, and sun, and stares
...

No veil is worthy to shield such eyes,
That leave unworthies hypnotized
Forever daft and mesmorized
For 'till this day to dying breath
