A World In Zero Gravity Poem by John Leon

A World In Zero Gravity

Rating: 4.5

You can't feel down when there is no up
In this special place of mine
Where planet Earth loosens her tie
And we leave our world behind

Oceans dance within the clouds
In this tantalizing dream
And everyone is as free
As an everlasting stream

Here man is an autumn leaf
Spread across the sky
No matter your size or color
We all reach just as high

There are no strong or weak
On this gentle ride
The smallest mice and weakest men
Can push a mountain aside

The tensions of life below our feet
Have drifted far away
And only a tranquil, coaxing breeze
Guide us on our way

I don't know why one would try
To cause war in such a place
For every bomb and angry voice
Just drifts off into space

And together in a human race
Our flight is never ending
You win not by how much time you take
But by whom this time you're spending
